Privacy and Consent

I give consent for my child to access therapy through THRIVE Ed Co. I consent for the therapist to contact my child’s school, and/or other agencies working with my child to discuss assessment findings and therapy progress.

I consent for the child to have their photo taken for the purpose of Thrive Ed Co when providing a service and emailed to me to keep me up to date with their therapy. I understand it will not be used in any other way. I acknowledge that Thrive Ed Co may retain copies of photos and other materials for internal business purposes and record keeping and won’t be used for other purposes unless consent has been given.

At THRIVE we do our best to ensure that appointments are booked on an ongoing basis and we enjoy being able to offer students the same day/time for each appointment. This regular booking helps with consistency and allows everyone to commit to the child’s learning goals.

While we understand things come up, as a service we are unable to afford the cost of the high volume of cancellations and/or missed appointments without increasing our fees significantly. We therefore urge families to be proactive in attending their scheduled appointments and notifying us in advance if you are unable to attend the appointment.

Please do not hesitate to call us on 0403 819 963 or email to reschedule your appointment as soon as you realise you cannot make your allocated time. We will endeavour to reschedule if possible.

A short notice cancellation (otherwise known as a late cancellation) is considered less than 24 hours to the allocated appointment.

We have decided as a service that we will charge a late cancellation if a family cancels within 24 hours of their scheduled appointment. A late cancellation will incur a charge of 50% of session fees. Failure to attend a session without prior notice will also be charged as a late cancellation.
All invoices must be paid before the lesson date. If the invoice has not been settled prior to the lesson, families will be contacted via email and if not paid 24hrs prior, the session will be cancelled.

Thrive Ed Co reserve the right to change these terms at any time.

1. Introduction

a. Thrive Ed Co is an Australian Business (ABN: 30 654 336 115) with head office in Townsville, Queensland.

b. Throughout this document, ‘We’ and ‘Our’ refers to Thrive Staff, ‘You’ and ‘Your’ refers to the client either reading this or receiving our services.

c. This agreement outlines the terms and conditions for the services provided to you by our company and for the use of this website.

2. Education Session Hours

a. All Sessions must be paid before the lesson date. If the invoice has not been settled prior to the first lesson the Session will be cancelled.

b. Written reports will incur an additional charge as outlined in our fees.

3. Education Sessions

a. All of our Staff are certified to work with children, and hold a valid Queensland Teacher Registration.

b. If you miss a lesson that has been booked and confirmed, you will forfeit that lesson, and will not be eligible for any refund. If your teacher misses a lesson that has been booked and confirmed, you will be eligible for a full refund of that lesson’s fee. Please ensure that you notify us immediately if this happens.

4. Cancellations

a. We understand that from time to time you’re going to have to change lessons with limited notice. Our teachers understand this too, however, they have committed to come and see you which means they are unable to teach anyone else during this time. To compensate the teacher for this lost opportunity, you will be charged 50% of the lesson fee in the event that your cancellation or alteration is within less than 24 hours of the lesson. (We will try and waive the fee in extenuating circumstances; however, this is decided on a case-by-case basis).

b. Where you provide us with more than 24 hours’ notice, you will not be charged any cancellation or alteration fees .

c. Please contact teachers to cancel sessions or arrange an alternate time via email or text message.

d. Ongoing services may be cancelled at any time with 7 days’ notice.

5. Payment

a. All invoices must be paid before the lesson date. If the invoice has not been settled prior to the lesson, you will be contacted via email and if not paid 24hrs prior the session will be cancelled.

b. Cash is not an accepted payment method. Payment can be received via credit card or direct deposit as directed on the invoice.

6. Changes to Terms

a. We reserve the right to change these terms at any time. The current terms and conditions will always be displayed on this website. It is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with these terms.
